The little gym I spend a few hours in each week is sponsoring a Race Across America…from Redmond to Niagara Falls. I think I’ll sign up. Unlike Walking Across America (see my earlier blog) which requires actual miles walked, this one gives the runner a 7.5 mile credit for every thirty minutes of exercise. I’ll still keep record of my actual miles, but I can be at Niagara Falls in no time at all.
Let me see…three hours of formal exercise equals 45 miles per week…12 weeks in a summer. Hmm…I’m not sure that works. It’ll be October before I see Montana. Maybe I better stick to the “get there someday” method and just walk across America after all.
Happy trails!
